  Ticket Information

This site cannot provide individual place-to-place fares information. This should be obtained directly from the bus operator.

However, the following types of ticket are generally available in Hampshire (check with the bus operator which ticket types are available for a specific route):

Single tickets

Valid for one journey from A to B. Cost varies according to distance travelled. Buy from the bus driver.

Day Return tickets

Valid for one journey in each direction between A and B - and usually offering a discount over the cost of two single tickets. Both journeys must be completed on the day of purchase. May not be available before 0900hrs (Mondays to Fridays) on some services. Only valid on the buses of the issuing company unless stated otherwise in this timetable. Buy from the bus driver.

Day Travel Tickets

Valid for one day's unlimited travel on the services of a given bus company or companies. Buy from the bus driver. See below for more details.

Multi-Journey Tickets

Valid for a set number of journeys between any two points on a given bus service at a discount over single fares. Not available on all services. Buy from the bus driver.

Season Tickets

Valid for an unlimited number of journeys between any two points on a given bus service. Offers a discount over single or return fares. Buy from bus company offices or agents.

Travel Cards

Valid for an unlimited number of journeys on all services within a given area for a fixed time period. Buy from bus company offices or agents. A photograph is usually required.

Children

Children under 5 travel free if accompanied by a fare-paying adult. Between the ages of 5 and 15 children travel at a discounted fare, generally between 50% and 75% of the adult rate. The discount varies according to operator and time of day.

Concessions

Senior citizens, and many disabled people, can obtain discounted travel with a bus pass issued by Hampshire County Council. Full details are shown in the Concessions section.

  Day Travel Tickets

Havant Borough Council is aware of the following day travel tickets offered by bus companies operating services in the area. Tickets may be available from the driver or from enquiry offices, and may be available for individuals or families - check with the operator concerned.

Rover Tickets

First Hampshire provide day and evening, weekly, monthly, 3-monthly and annual rover tickets. Stagecoach Coastline provides the MegaRider 7-day ticket covering various areas of the Borough.

Solent Travelcard

This is a day or week rover ticket which is available on all bus routes across the Solent area and covers the New Forest in the west, Emsworth in the east and northwards to Clanfield and Chandler's Ford.

The ticket is available at £5.50 per day or (for an introductory period) £20 per week, and gives unlimited travel at any time of the day on all bus routes within the Travelcard area (except the three Southampton 'Nitebus' services operated by Solent Blue Line).

Tickets can be purchased from the driver.

One Day Explorer Tickets

First Hampshire have a FirstExplorer day ticket available.
Stagecoach Coastline has their DayRider range available.

In addition to these offers from First and Stagecoach, 'Explorer' tickets are available for travel on all major routes irrespective of operator. These may be purchased from the driver or from enquiry offices. Check with the operators before you travel, some operators only accept tickets issued from enquiry offices.

  Hayling Ferry Connection

A new 'All in One' travel ticket will be available from 6th May. One inclusive ticket will allow travel from anywhere on Hayling south of Mill Rythe School to the Hayling Ferry using C Cars taxis (book on 023 9246 8888), the crossing on the ferry, and onward connection in Portsmouth to either Commercial Road or The Hard by First services 15, 16A and 57 as appropriate (single tickets) or unlimited travel in the Portsmouth City using First bus services (return or weekly tickets).

Prices are as follows:

Single

Single taxi journey, single ferry crossing and single bus journey to/from Commercial Road or The Hard.
Adult £4.50, accompanied Child (age 5-13 inclusive) £3.20

Return

Return taxi journeys, return ferry crossings and unlimited one day travel in Portsmouth City boundary on all First bus services.
Adult £6.85, accompanied Child (age 5-13 inclusive) £5.60

Weekly

Fourteen taxi journeys, fourteen ferry crossings and seven consecutive days' unlimited travel in Portsmouth City boundary on all First bus services.
Adult £35.00 (no child rate).
