4th December: Service X42
From 4th December the route of the X42 will be changed, to run direct via South Downs College to terminate at Waterlooville. The timetable will be revised from this date to take account of this change.
Changes to bus services from 16th October 2011
Due to reductions in funding support from Hampshire County Council, the following changes will be introduced from 16th October.
Service 27 (Emsworth - Havant - Rowlands Castle): revised timetable
Services 37 / 38 (Havant - Petersfield - Alton): revised timetable
Service 40C (Portsmouth - South Downs College): renumbered 53, revised timetable and most journeys extended to Purbrook Way / Hulbert Road roundabout (for Asda).
Service X41 (Clanfield - Portsmouth): the 0710 morning journey and the only evening journey are withdrawn.
Service 63 (Havant - Fareham): revised Saturday timetable.
Services 138 / 139 (Waterlooville - Fareham): service withdrawn
29th May: revised route and timetable for service 700
In Worthing the route will now serve Grand Avenue and Marine Parade to the west of the town centre, rather than Mill Road and Cowper Road. Many journeys will be re-timed either a few minutes earlier or later.
15th May: minor timetable changes on 40 and 41
Service 40 (Southsea - City Centre - Cosham - Waterlooville - Wecock Farm): 2320 departure from Hilsea Lido on Friday and Saturday nights is withdrawn.
Service 41 (Portsmouth - Clanfield via City Centre, North End, Cosham, Waterlooville and Cowplain): 2300 departure on Friday and Saturday nights from The Hard is withdrawn.
Change to service 700, from 14th November 2010
From the above date, Stagecoach service 700 will revert to a half hourly frequency on the section of route between Southsea and Chichester during Monday to Saturday daytimes. Frequency on other parts of the route between Chichester and Brighton remain unchanged.
Bus service changes from 6th June 2010
Changes to varies services will take place from Sunday 6th June 2010
Service 37: revised timetable. Journeys change to service 38 at Petersfield and continue to Liss every hour, and past Liss to Alton every 2 hours
Service 40: revised timetable in the peak
Service X40: revised timetable
Service 41: revised timetable in the peak
Service X41: revised timetable. One morning journey operates as service X43 via QA Hospital instead of A3M
Service X42: revised timetable, with journeys past Waterlooville to South Downs College starting later in the morning
Services 45/45A: revised timetable
Service 63: revised morning timetable. Route change in QA Hospital area
Service 700: now operates every 15 minutes during Monday - Saturday daytimes between The Hard and Brighton (remains every 30 minutes between The Hard and Southsea)
13th December 2009: Petersfield Rail Link stopped and service 37 extended
The Petersfield Rail Link stopped operating on 13th December; service 37 now has a few extra journeys to compensate.
From 1st September 2009: Autumn 2009 bus service changes
Changes to First service 138 from 1st September - the journey via Newtown is renumbered 139. Revised timetable.
Changes to Stagecoach services from 6th September:
20 - revised route in Leigh Park, and service extended to Crookhorn, Queen Alexandra Hospital and express to Portsmouth (Gunwharf Quays) via M275.
21 - revised timetable.
30, 31 - revised times in peak period for greater reliability.
37 - route change in Leigh Park, no longer operates via Park Parade. Revised timetable.
39 - now operates via Asda Superstore; also all journeys now follow daytime route (i.e. Sunday diversions via Purbrook Way and Cowplain no longer operate).
New First service X42 starts 28th September, between Crookhorn, Waterlooville, Purbrook, Widley, Queen Alexandra Hospital, then express to Portsmouth (Gunwharf Quays) via M275.
From 19th April 2009: Changes to Stagecoach services
Services 21, 23, 30, 31, 37 and 39 will be amended from this date. Service 21 will now operate half hourly into Portsmouth during weekday daytimes, supplemented at these times by a new half hourly service 20 operating between Havant Bus Station and ASDA only (thus giving a combined 15-minute frequency through Leigh Park). Services 30 and 31 will operate to a revised route between Beachlands, Mengham and Eastoke Corner, allowing direct travel between Beachlands and Mengham rather than via Eastoke. Other services have minor timetable changes to assist timekeeping in light of traffic congestion.
25th October 2008: Nightrunner N23 will cease to operate
The Nightrunner N23 service between Southsea, Portsmouth, Havant and Leigh Park will cease to operate from 25th October 2008.
From 20th July 2008: Services 40 and 41 - improved Sunday daytime frequency
From 20th July 2008, Sundsay services 40 and 41 will now run every 20 minutes.
